Qualifications for Membership We are a closed credit union. That means that our field of membership is limited to:
Employees of the Department of Justice who work in Leavenworth and the Greater Kansas City area (which includes the U.S. Penitentiary, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, Drug Enforcement Administration, Federal Bureau of Investigation, U. S. Marshals Service, U. S. Parole Commission, Office of Tribal Justice, and many other divisions of the Department of Justice and North Central Regional Office).
- Persons retired as pensioners or annuitants from the above employment.
- Persons retired as pensioners or annuitants who reside within the operational area of this credit union.
- Unremarried spouses of persons who died while within the field of membership of the credit union.
- Employees of this credit union.
- Immediate family members. (Our membership will not be available to any family members who are confined to a correctional facility.)
If you are within the field of membership of the USPLK Employees Federal Credit Union, we would love for you to join our credit union. Membership in our credit union gives you and your family the advantage of belonging to a "member-owned" financial institution.
Joining is easy. You can either stop by our office to open the account in person or fill out or submit the application by mail along with a copy of your driver's license. Your initial deposit of $25.00 will open your share account and qualify your for all the advantages that membership in USPLK Employees Federal Credit Union has to offer.
Our accounts are insured up to $100,000, by NCUA, a U.S. Government Agency. We have been in business since 1941.
